Release Notes 3.0 is here! This release is primarily focused on adding support for new Microsoft updates and service packs, with the most important being Visual Studio 2008 SP1 and .NET Framework 3.5 SP1. 3.0 includes the following changes:
  • Support for new Microsoft updates and service packs
  • A single master solution that contains all of the DinnerNow files
  • Bug fixes

Prerequisites for DinnerNow 3.0 3.0 requires the following software to be installed.
  • Visual Studio 2008 Professional Edition Service Pack 1 (OR Visual Studio Team System 2008 Service Pack 1) and .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1
  • Windows Vista Service Pack 2 (32-bit) OR Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (32-bit)
  • Windows PowerShell 1.0
  • SQL Server 2005 Express Service Pack 3 (32-bit)
  • Internet Explorer 8 (32-bit)
  • Windows Mobile 6 Professional SDK Refresh [optional]
  • Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 for Windows Vista (32-bit) [optional]
  • Power Toys for .NET Compact Framework 3.5 [optional]

Not supported in this release 3.0 has not been tested with the following versions of Windows and/or Visual Studio. However, since the complete source code for is available, you are more than welcome to try using with these and fix any issues that come up.

  • Windows XP
  • Internet Explorer 6 or earlier
  • IIS 6 or earlier
